Summit Ski Furano Area Guided Day Tours

Summit Ski offer PRIVATE GROUP (you cannot join a group) guided day tours from the Furano base for groups wanting to explore Furano Ski Resort and other nearby resorts/ski areas or nearby backcountry zones. The pricing is fixed per group, regardless of whether you have 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 people in your group. With the addition of a tail guide, it's also possible to have your group as large as 5 to 8 people.

As these are private groups, your group can determine the type of terrain and means of access i.e. do you want to do backcountry using split boards / touring skis, or access the sidecountry via lifts and maybe some short walks? Or you might just want to be shown around the off-piste terrain at a resort.

From Furano you have options such as Furano, Tomamu, Asahidake, Tokachidake, Kamui, Sahoro and more, plus nearby backcountry zones. The guided day includes transport to and from your accommodation, and the per diem rate is slightly tiered for guiding at Furano versus other areas, whilst Kurodake attracts a further charge considering the travel involved. Safety

Summit Ski guides are a minimum of CAA Operations 1 or equivalent and there are also IFMGA guides on board too. Tail guides have a minimum of AST2 or equivalent.

All guests who wish to enter the sidecounty / backcountry will require avalanche safety gear, which is available for rent. Summit Ski also have a range of backcountry touring equipment.

Ability

As tours are for private groups they are available to groups of strong intermediate & above.
