There is a lot going on at Bethany in November. Youth meetings include the K-2 group meeting at 7 PM on the 5th and 19th; the 3-5 group meeting at 3 PM on the 10th and 24th; and the 6-HS group meeting from 12:30 PM to 4:30 PM on the 9th. On the 29th, they will meet at 3:30 PM in the parking lot to go on a Christmas hayride at Mike’s Country Farm in Onslow County. All of the church family is invited to participate. On the way, they will stop for lunch at a fast-food restaurant.

Hospice of Pamlico County is holding a community-wide grief workshop at Bethany Nov. 13. Entitled Getting Through the Holidays, the workshop will be held at 10:30 AM and again at 7 PM.

The following day, Nov. 14, the Pamlico District Christian Men’s Fellowship meeting will take place at Silver Hill Christian Church. Women are invited to attend. County Commissioner Pat Prescott will be the guest speaker.

Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes will be collected the week of 17-23 November, and the shoe boxes will be dedicated in the worship service Nov. 23.

Thanksgiving offering envelopes will be available at worship Nov. 16 and 23, and we will have a Thanksgiving Day Service in the sanctuary at 10 AM Nov. 27.

A lot is happening on the 16th: In addition to the Thanksgiving offering, the special offering for Fishes & Loaves will take place during worship, and after worship CWF Group 5 is holding Souper Sunday, offering soup and sandwiches at the price of a donation. Later, at the 6 PM CMF/CWF meeting, Casey Perry will speak about Camp Caroline.

A Harbor Sounds concert to benefit the Anointed Remnant Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ, will be held at the church across the street from Bethany at 7 PM Friday, Nov. 21. We have offered the use of our parking lot for the concert from 6 PM to around 8:30 PM.

Hanging of the Greens is scheduled for 6 PM Friday, Nov. 28. A light supper will be served. The Hanging of the Greens will be dedicated in the worship service at 11 AM Nov. 30. Following the worship service Nov. 30 will be a 5th-Sunday Dinner, at which donations for the Regional Capital Campaign will be collected.

Everyone is invited to participate in  as many of the activities, events and services as possible, and to enjoy the work and fellowship of Christ’s church!
