A focus group to discuss Disciples beliefs and issues, including one that has received widespread attention, Resolution 1327, will begin Thursday at 7 P.M. in the fellowship hall. All are encouraged to attend. The objectives of the group are to facilitate an understanding of the issues as they impact our congregation, and to allow all to state their beliefs and concerns.

In the first session, the cultural and religious context will be described, and the stage set for discussion. While all might not agree on the issues, the setting will provide for disagreements in an atmosphere of love and understanding. Those participating will be asked to voice goals for the focus group sessions.

Although seven sessions are planned over the next seven weeks, meeting each time at 7 P.M. on Thursdays, the program is flexible enough to allow for fewer sessions if the goals are achieved, or more sessions if required.

These issues are important to Disciples throughout the world and to those of us at Bethany, so all are greatly encouraged to attend and make your voices heard.
