The Faith Café Sunday School Class held an oyster roast Jan. 6. Merritt Watson and Gregory Midyette steamed the oysters to perfection and deposited them on a table for those participating to shuck and eat. Several varieties of cocktail and hot sauce were available. In addition to the oysters, there was shrimp and dessert.
The consensus was that the oysters were salty, delicious and well cooked. There were no comments from the oysters, “and this was scarcely odd, for they’d eaten every one.” (Apologies to Charles Dodgson)
