We learned today of the death Thursday of Charlotte Grant Gaskins Powers of Grantsboro and Belhaven. We offer our prayers and condolences to her family. The family will receive friends Jan. 30 from 2-3 p.m. at the Rock of Zion Free Will Baptist Church, and a graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. in the Grantsboro Cemetery, the Rev. Charles Hardison officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Rock of Zion Free Will Baptist Church, P.O. Box 381, Grantsboro, NC 28529.
