A ground-breaking service was held at Camp Caroline July 6 for the Jack and Gladys Lee Multi-purpose Recreation Building. The service was conducted by John Richardson, general minister of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in North Carolina. Jack and Gladys were on hand to help break ground. The weather was warm but pleasant, and refreshments were served in Cowell Hall following the service.

The building is named for Jack and Gladys Lee, members of Bethany, and will be built in three phases, eventually to comprise a gymnasium and classroom complex. First-phase constuction is to begin this fall. A floorplan of the building is shown below.
