TORRIE OSGOOD BEGINS AS NEW SENIOR MINISTER

The Reverend Torrie Osgood began service as Bethany’s senior minister March 1, 2016. Torrie and his wife Christy moved to Pamlico County from Dunn, where he was the minister at Hood Memorial Christian Church.

Torrie, originally from New Bern, has served congregations in Texas, Florida, South Carolina and North Carolina. He is a graduate of Barton College, and graduated from seminary at Brite Divinity School, Texas Christian University.

As the regional youth minister, Torrie was head of the camp and conference program and spent a great deal of time at Camp Caroline.

His parents, Paul and Virginia Osgood were long-time members of Broad Street Christian Church in New Bern. His brother, Bob Osgood, lives in New Bern at the Bayview Nursing Home.

Since arriving here, Rev. Osgood has become involved in the ministries of the congregation, as well as community ministries like Operation Veggie Box (OVB).

He and Christy are looking forward to a long ministry with Bethany.  They make their home at 522 Country Club Drive in Minnesott Beach.
