Over 25 folks showed up at the pavilion last night to enjoy homemade ice cream and other goodies. The weather was perfect–just cool enough so the ice cream didn’t melt fast!

Simon Spalding kept everyone entertained with music, while the youth took turns hand cranking the vanilla maker, but there was peach and strawberry on hand too.

And Garland Cahoon, who celebrated his 86th birthday yesterday, was able to finish up his party with the homemade ice cream! Happy birthday, Garland!

Operation Veggie Box, a ministry of Bethany Christian Church, has posts already, with pictures and video to come, but Bethany Christian Church at the Crossroads in Arapahoe, the general ministry page, is not yet displaying pictures and posts.

DEATH NOTICE – LOIS AZALIE LUPTON D’ESOPO

We learned of the death August 23 of Lois Azalie Lupton D’Esopo, 86, of Vandemere and Camp Hill, Pa. We extend our prayers and condolences to her family. A funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. August 28 at Bryant Funeral Home. Interment will follow immediately at Celestial Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Grane Hospice of Camp Hill, 4 Lemoyne Drive, Suite 201, Lemoyne, Pa. 17043.
